The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through its Commission en banc (CEB) Resolution No. 136-2023, officially granted the University of Batangas Distance Education (UBDE) the Government Authority to operate two academic programs. The approval was formalized under GA No. 001, series of 2023, for the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) Program and GA No. 002, series of 2023, for the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) Program. This recognition, released in Quezon City on December 20, 2023, marked a significant milestone for UBDE – the first and only private distance education in CALABARZON.
