The University of Batangas (UB) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and senior high school students from various schools across Batangas Province demonstrated their debating and critical thinking skills during “CAS ISIPAN, CAS KATUWIRAN” on May 2, 2024.
The competition served as a dynamic arena where young debaters analyzed complex issues, constructed logical arguments, and presented their ideas persuasively. Participants, representing diverse high schools, created a vibrant atmosphere of academic engagement and intellectual camaraderie. The event encouraged a healthy and respectful exchange of ideas among the institutions.
The competition emphasized clear reasoning, respect for differing perspectives, and evidence-based discussion. Faculty members from the College of Arts and Sciences served as adjudicators, ensuring a fair evaluation process while providing constructive feedback to enhance the participants’ communication, logic, and reasoning abilities. Through this event, the University of Batangas strengthened its role as a center for academic excellence in the region.
