The University of Batangas Distance Education, being the steward of quality education, provides a learning environment responsive to the needs of the students through flexible distance learning education accessible to all, and formed with solid competence to meet the dynamic demands of society.

The University of Batangas Distance Education envisions itself to be a premiere private institution committed to providing learner- centered university experience through flexible distance learning education.

Objectives


Specifically, the UB DE has the following objectives:

  • – provide equal opportunities for alternative access to quality higher education by offering baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate degree programs through flexible distance education.
  • – develop a system of uninterrupted education for professional growth, knowledge-based and technical skills especially for learners who are geographically challenged and those who cannot leave their jobs or homes for full-time studies;
  • – collaborate with other colleges and universities through partnership and capacity-building activities, research and linkages;
  • – uphold the university’s core values, and institutional objectives and contribute to the academic success of the University by innovating and utilizing necessary instructional materials and technology; and,
  • – produce employable lifelong learners.

Does UBDE credit courses already taken in college?

UBDE allows the crediting of subjects for those who have started college or have taken units in college. Usually, some general education courses, NSTP, and PE are credited. For this purpose, you may submit your TOR for initial assessment and evaluation.

What are the modes of payment?

University of Batangas Distance Education accepts payments via over-the-counter and online payment partners. Payment partners include GCash, DragonPay, Visa, Mastercard, and JCB among others.

How are admission and enrolment procedures done?

Admission and enrollment procedures may be done physically by visiting the University or online. For the step-by-step guidelines, you may contact us on our official email or Facebook accounts.

What are the programs being offered by University of Batangas Distance Education (UBDE)?

The University of Batangas Distance Education (UBDE) is currently offering Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS). UBDE is also planning to offer other programs including graduate studies in the future.

How can I qualify for enrollment?

UBDE accepts enrollees whose age ranges from 18 and above and has already earned a Senior High School diploma. It is dedicated to providing quality education to students from local and offshore.

How can I enroll at UBDE?

UBDE facilitates online enrollment and admission. Just visit ub.edu.ph and click the Online Admission Sign Up option. Enter your personal information to generate the application number of the student and follow the instructions given.

Where can I get the learning and supplementary materials I will need in studying?

UBDE makes it easier for the learners to access learning and supplementary materials through its OER (Online Educational Resource). Just click the OER option in the Distance Learner Application – a one-stop application exclusive to UBDE learners.

Would I be allowed to meet my professor/lecturee though we are studying from a distance?

Absolutely. UBDE has its DEED (Distance Education Enhancement Dialogue) where the learners can meet their professors/lecturers virtually through Google meet. DEED is scheduled prior to the opening of the semester and as needs arise. For special sessions, a Google form is to be filled out by the learner to seek for the lecturer’s approval of date and time.
