The PRC announced that 1,998 out of 2,434 examinees passed the Architecture Licensure Examination (ALE). The new licensed architects from UBLC are Ar. Janne H. Carandang, Ar. Bryan Keane A. Caringal, Ar. Glen Damiel B. Jawod, Ar. Gerald L. Mutya, and Ar. Geraldine B. Yuhmo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UBLC achieved an 83.33% institutional passing rate, surpassing the national passing rate of 82.9%, reflecting the university\u2019s sustained commitment to academic excellence, quality instruction, and professional readiness. The results highlight the effectiveness of the College of Engineering and Architecture\u2019s outcomes-based curriculum, faculty mentorship, and rigorous academic preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his opening remarks, Ar. Manolo Merhan emphasized the significance of the achievement, <em>\u201cToday is a moment of immense pride for the University of Batangas, Lipa City as we celebrate the outstanding achievement of our graduates in the January 2026 Architecture Licensure Examination. Our College of Engineering and Architecture fielded six candidates for this challenging national exam, and I\u2019m very thrilled to announce that five out of six of our students successfully passed, earning their license to practice architecture in the Philippines.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chairman of the Board of Regents, Atty. Jesus V. Mayo, underscored the values that must guide the new professionals, saying:<em> \u201cYou are tasked and allowed by our government to build and improve the future of our environment. If you are to be successful in life, you have to have vision, integrity, and competence. Our professors at the College of Engineering and Architecture have trained you to be competent architects \u2013 exercise this profession with due diligence and honor. You bear the name of your family and the University of Batangas. Bear it with pride and never tarnish it with an ill reputation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her closing message, Dr. Joan Villanueva expressed her appreciation to the faculty and graduates, recognizing their dedication and perseverance, and giving special recognition to the pioneer batch of the BS Architecture program, affirming that their success brings pride to the university and reflects the strength of UBLC\u2019s academic foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This milestone achievement reinforces UBLC\u2019s role in producing competent, ethical, and globally competitive professionals, contributing to national development and advancing quality education through excellence in architectural training and licensure performance. It reflects the University of Batangas\u2019 commitment to bringing out the BEST version of each student and alumni \u2013&nbsp;as Builders and Innovators of Knowledge, Efficient professionals and effective communicators, Social, moral, and global-minded citizens, and Transformed lifelong learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This accomplishment also directly supports the University\u2019s commitment to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening access to high-quality professional education, promoting lifelong learning opportunities, and producing industry-ready graduates who contribute meaningfully to society.
