Mr. Ericson D. Mendoza, Director of the Center for Business and Innovation of the University of Batangas Lipa City, served as a resource speaker at the Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PHAPi) 46th National Convention and Exhibition on November 18, 2025, at the Manila Hotel. Mendoza presented on digital marketing and the use of data, delivering actionable insights aimed at private hospital administrators and healthcare managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PHAPi, established on March 13, 1979, in Antipolo, Rizal, is the accredited organization representing private hospitals nationwide. The association was formed to address industry concerns and to unify the efforts of privately owned clinics, hospitals, and healthcare facilities involved in service delivery. Today, PHAPi operates on a national scale with more than 600 member institutions representing about half of the 1,071 licensed private hospitals in the country and remains actively involved in advancing professional standards and institutional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The association regularly conducts regional seminars and symposia across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as part of its commitment to continuous education. Since its foundation, PHAPi has organized more than six professional development programs annually, drawing an average of 400 participants per session over the past three decades. It also collaborates with government bodies such as the Department of Health, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and the House of Representatives to address legislative and administrative issues affecting private hospital operations. Additionally, PHAPi has partnered with PhilHealth since 2008 for nationwide ICD-10 disease coding training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being invited as a guest lecturer at a national convention of this scale highlights Mendoza\u2019s professional recognition and contributions to knowledge in digital marketing and data strategies. His participation provided attendees with insights to strengthen private hospital management and service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
