Team Fiscal Bloom from the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) College of Management and Tourism (CMT) earned second place in the Project Pitch Competition of NEXTGEN: The Sustainability Leadership Summit 2025, organized by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA) National Council. The event, which celebrated youth-driven sustainability initiatives, served as a national platform for future leaders committed to creating long-term, community-centered solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Held under the theme \u201cGarden of Tomorrow: Seeds of Change, Bloom of Leadership,\u201d the summit brought together student teams from NFJPIA-affiliated organizations to showcase forward-looking project proposals. Participants were tasked with presenting creative, feasible, and high-impact concepts that promote sustainability and demonstrate transformational leadership. Proposals were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to sustainability, and potential long-term impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Representing UBLC were Allysa Kimberly M. Virrey (3rd Year), Ashley Gayle D. Gloria (3rd Year), Rhoan T. Escalera (2nd Year), and Krizian Janna Nunag (2nd Year) \u2013 collectively known as Team Fiscal Bloom. The group\u2019s proposal stood out for its innovative approach and alignment with the summit\u2019s mission to empower young leaders and cultivate practical solutions for a sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The summit featured plenary discussions and keynote presentations that underscored the importance of environmental stewardship, responsible leadership, and transformative action. These sessions provided participants with insights and tools for strengthening their project concepts before entering the final pitch round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the culminating competition, the top teams presented their proposals before a panel of judges composed of sustainability advocates and industry professionals. Team Fiscal Bloom\u2019s strong research, clear implementation plan, and compelling presentation secured them the second-place distinction, placing UBLC among the recognized institutions in the national sustainability arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
