UP Diliman, Quezon City \u2013 October 16, 2025. <\/strong>The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) once again demonstrated its strong presence in national leadership as six representatives from the College of Management and Tourism (CMT) successfully secured major positions during the Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines (JTHMAP) Halalan 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held recently under the auspices of JTHMAP, the annual Halalan event serves as a platform for student leaders and advisers from tourism and hospitality institutions across the country to elect officers who will spearhead programs that promote excellence, innovation, and collaboration in the industry for a two-year term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading the list of UB Lipa\u2019s newly elected national officers is Ms. Jinky R. Asugui, who was elected as Vice Chairman of the National Board of Advisers. She is joined by Mr. Joshua Ramil D. Katigbak, who now serves as National Adviser for Entertainment, Culture, and Sports, both representing the university\u2019s unwavering commitment to guidance and mentorship within the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the student ranks, Arkin H. Pagcaliwangan earned the post of National Executive Auditor, ensuring transparency and accountability in JTHMAP\u2019s financial operations. Meanwhile, June Christian E. Dimaculangan and Nick Wilson V. Magpantay were elected as National Student Directors for Entertainment, Culture, and Sports and Community and Industry Engagement, respectively \u2013 reflecting UB Lipa students\u2019 active participation in shaping dynamic and community-oriented programs. Completing the roster of UB Lipa achievers is Nadine E. Del Mundo, who will serve as National Executive Financial Officer, tasked with overseeing financial management and resource allocation for the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview, Ms. Asugui shared her insights on the significance of these national appointments, emphasizing the broader impact they bring to the university and its community. \u201cThe advantage of securing key national positions in JTHMAP lies in the connections and networks we can build to enhance UB Lipa\u2019s visibility in both the national and international academic scene,\u201d <\/em>she said. She also revealed that several changes and developments are forthcoming within the JTHREP (Junior Tourism, Hospitality, and Real Estate Professionals), particularly in strengthening initiatives that will benefit Hospitality and Tourism Management programs across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about UB Lipa\u2019s 80th founding anniversary, Ms. Asugui expressed optimism and excitement, noting that the college\u2019s newly appointed national officers are ready and well-prepared for the university\u2019s upcoming national hosting engagements. \u201cThis milestone is something to look forward to,\u201d <\/em>she added, \u201cas it will further highlight UB Lipa\u2019s leadership and excellence in the field.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
