Lipa City, Batangas<\/strong> \u2013 The University of Batangas Lipa Campus (UBLC) is celebrating a major achievement after its 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Psychology students and Red Cross Youth (RCY) members won 2nd Best Film at the highly competitive Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) CALABARZON PelikulAgraryo Short Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning entry, “Luntiang Panata,”<\/em><\/strong> was lauded for its powerful narrative that advocates for agrarian reform and pays a heartfelt tribute to Filipino farmers. The festival, which utilizes creative media to raise awareness about rural development and the agrarian sector, highlighted the UBLC film for its strong social message and exceptional artistic execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the 2nd Best Film award, “Luntiang Panata”<\/em><\/strong> dominated the individual categories, securing three major accolades: Best Actor:<\/strong> Mr. Liam Felix D. Arayon Best Director:<\/strong> Ms. Jovell Mae A. Bongon; Best Screenplay:<\/strong> Ms. Graehme Ahn Ygot and Ms. Ysabelle E. Rodriguez. The film also received nominations for Best Production Design and Best Actress for Ms. Joe Mikaella M. Pangilinan, underscoring the remarkable depth of talent from the UBLC students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
