Lipa City, Batangas \u2013 October 3, 2025. <\/strong>Jeric Botero, a fourth-year BS Hospitality Management student from the College of Management and Tourism of the University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC), has earned the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) designation awarded by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) through its educational arm, the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CGSP credential is an internationally recognized certification that honors individuals who demonstrate excellence and professionalism in delivering guest service. To earn the title, candidates must complete the Guest Service Gold\u00ae training program and pass a comprehensive examination assessing their knowledge of hospitality service principles, problem-solving, and customer care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Jeric, the motivation to pursue this certification stemmed from his desire to formally validate his knowledge and skills in the service industry. He shared that earning the CGSP title provides personal fulfillment and a sense of job security, as it assures employers of his professional competence and commitment to quality service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In preparation for the certification, Jeric actively participated in interactive learning sessions, including quiz bees and group activities designed to simulate real-life guest service situations.
