The recognition was given in appreciation of UBLC\u2019s partnership and support in the operation of Bahay Aruga Center (Bahay Pag-Asa) by providing psychosocial services, psychological assessment and evaluation, learning and reading needs assessment, and the placement of on-the-job training students.<br><br>The recognition, signed by Lipa City Mayor Hon. Eric B. Africa and CSWDO Department Head Ms. Lerma M. Laylo, highlighted UBLC CEAS\u2019s contributions to advancing social welfare programs that benefit children and residents under the care of Bahay Aruga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Psychology Program was recognized for its delivery of psychosocial services and psychological assessments, ensuring that residents of Bahay Aruga receive the appropriate guidance and interventions needed for rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Teacher Education Program was cited for its initiatives in conducting learning and reading needs assessments, as well as in providing educational support services that promote literacy, academic development, and life skills training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Social Work Program was commended for strengthening rehabilitation efforts by extending professional expertise in social services, case management, and community support while facilitating the supervised training of student interns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Present during the awarding ceremony from the Lipa City Government were Ms. Verenesse Silva, SWO III; Ms. Lerma Laylo, CSWDO Department Head; Ms. Vilma Paran, SWO IV\/Center Administrator; and Mr. Adrian Zoleta, SWO I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Representing UBLC CEAS were Dr. Minerva Apita-Chavez, Dean of the College of Education, Arts, and Sciences; Ms. Rachelle Bedes, Faculty-in-Charge of the Social Work Program; and Ms. Shiela Mea L. Rodriguez, College Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recognition underscores UBLC\u2019s enduring mission of linking academic learning with community service and social responsibility.
