Lipa City, Batangas – October 13, 2025. The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) is set to mark another milestone in its academic and research endeavors as it hosts the International Conference on Innovation and Interdisciplinary Integration in Business, Humanities, Law, Criminal Justice, Science, Engineering, and Communication Technology on November 20–21, 2025, at the UB Lipa Campus, Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines.
Titled “Bridging Disciplines, Inspiring Innovation: Towards a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” the conference – also known as SYNERGY 2025 – aims to unite academicians, researchers, professionals, and students across diverse fields to engage in critical dialogue and collaboration that address pressing global challenges through interdisciplinary innovation.
Organized by the University of Batangas Lipa City Research and Publications Office (RPO) in partnership with international research bodies such as Ignited Minds Journals Delhi, AIRO International Journal, and Navbharat Memorial Foundation, the event will feature the GRCF International Conferences on Management, Law, Criminal Justice, Humanities, General Science, Engineering, and Communication Technologies.
In an interview, Dr. Pastor R. Arguelles, Jr., Research and Publications Director of the University of Batangas, shared that the hosting of the conference fulfills a long-standing goal of the Research Office to conduct international-level research activities.
“Part of the mandate of any research office is to organize national and international research events. This was part of my plan since my first audit as director. With the support of our international partners, particularly our colleagues from India, we were finally able to bring this initiative to life,” Dr. Arguelles said.
According to Dr. Arguelles, the conference will welcome researchers from at least seven countries, including the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, India, United Arab Emirates, and the People’s Republic of China, combining both on-site and virtual presentations. He further revealed that several UBLC faculty members and graduate school researchers are preparing submissions, many of which are targeted for publication in High Impact Factor, Scopus Indexed journals.
“This initiative is not only a research presentation opportunity but also a gateway for UB researchers to publish in reputable, high-quality journals. Our focus is on research that meets global standards—those within Q1 and Q2 quartiles,” he explained.
The event is expected to draw over 150–200 participants, including researchers, students, and faculty members from universities across the Philippines and abroad. The main venue for the plenary sessions will be the UB Lipa Multipurpose and Tiered Hall, with additional rooms designated for concurrent and online paper presentations.
Beyond serving as an academic gathering, Dr. Arguelles sees SYNERGY 2025 as a strategic step toward positioning UB Lipa as a leading international research hub in Southern Luzon.
“This is an opportunity for our researchers – it’s also a chance to showcase UB Lipa as an ideal venue for global academic exchange. It’s exciting and challenging at the same time, but it’s also a significant step in promoting UB as an international research destination,” he expressed.
In line with its theme, the two-day conference will explore solutions and ideas that promote sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation across multiple disciplines. Registration and paper submissions are ongoing, with the following important deadlines: Abstract Submission – September 30, 2025; Full Paper Submission – October 15, 2025; Acceptance Notification – October 25, 2025; and Registration Deadline – October 30, 2025.
As UB Lipa continues to advance research excellence and global collaboration, SYNERGY 2025 stands as a testament to the university’s enduring commitment to academic innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and sustainable development – bringing together minds that shape a better, inclusive, and forward-looking future.
