Lipa City, Batangas – September 20, 2025. The University of Batangas Lipa City College of Education, Arts and Sciences proudly celebrates the recent success of its student representatives who earned top distinctions in international competitions organized by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Sriwijaya University, Indonesia.
Held online, the international competitions gathered students from around the globe to showcase their talents and ideas in education, language, science, technology, arts, and innovative projects aligned with 21st-century education. This virtual setup enabled wide participation across borders, highlighting the importance of global collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Representing Teacher Education Program, Ms. Marisol D. Titular, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies student, joined the International Storytelling Competition with the theme “Stories of Climate Resilience and Adaptation: Connecting Cultures through Knowledge.” Running from July 20 to August 28, 2025, the contest culminated with the announcement of winners on September 20, 2025, where Ms. Titular emerged as 1st Place Winner in her category. Her performance stood out for its cultural resonance and message of sustainability in the face of climate change.
Meanwhile, Mr. Eric Lyndon P. Receno, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology student, competed in the International Essay Competition under the theme “Character-Based Education and Innovative Collaboration for Transformative Impact.” Conducted from July 17 to August 10, 2025, the competition challenged students to propose forward-looking educational models. Mr. Receno secured 2nd Place, earning international recognition for his critical insights and innovative perspectives.
The achievements of Ms. Titular and Mr. Receno underscores UBLC’s commitment to fostering global competence and excellence among its students. Their victories bring honor to the institution and exemplify the university’s vision of nurturing future-ready learners who can thrive on the international stage.
