The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC), through its College of Education, Arts, and Sciences, recorded a 100% passing rate for first-time takers in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), according to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on December 18.
All UBLC examinees from the Batch 2024–2025 who took the licensure examination for the first time successfully earned their Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) status. These include Gladys A. Gonzales from the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program; Rosa Camilla C. Bautista and Cyra D. Dizon from the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English; Regina Grace C. De Pano and Darwiza M. Nazareth from the Certificate in Teaching Program (CTP) for 18-unit earners of UB Lipa; and Ritchie B. Early and Jonard P. Cruzado, BS Psychology alumni of UB Lipa, who completed their Certificate in Teaching Program at a community college in Lipa City.
The September and November 2025 LET was administered on September 21 and November 30, 2025, in 45 testing centers nationwide, as well as in Hong Kong and Thailand, enabling aspiring educators to qualify for professional practice locally and abroad. Nationwide, the PRC reported 79,696 new licensed teachers, composed of 21,967 elementary and 57,729 secondary teachers, with the majority being first-time takers. Examination results were released within 63 working days, reflecting the timely processing of outcomes.
The examination was supervised by the Board for Professional Teachers, led by Chairperson Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, with Vice Chairperson Dr. Paz I. Lucido and Member Dr. Paraluman R. Giron. The PRC advised successful examinees to await separate announcements regarding registration, issuance of professional identification cards, and oathtaking schedules.
UBLC’s performance reflects its sustained commitment to quality education aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, ensuring inclusive and equitable education while strengthening the preparation of competent educators. The achievement also mirrors the University of Batangas Graduate Attributes, as the institution continues to shape graduates who are builders and innovators of knowledge, efficient professionals and effective communicators, socially, morally, and globally minded citizens, and transformed lifelong learners – bringing out the BEST version of each student.
As the University of Batangas approaches its 80th founding anniversary, this milestone adds to the institution’s legacy of academic excellence and public service, leading toward the Grand Alumni Homecoming on December 29, 2026, to be held at the University of Batangas – an occasion that will gather generations of UB graduates shaped by the same tradition of competence, integrity, and lifelong learning.
