The Guild of Aspiring Psychologists (GAPsy), representing the Bachelor of Science in Psychology Program, conducted its first group dynamics program for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) at Bahay Aruga.
A key component of the program was an inspirational talk delivered by guest speaker Ms. Majoy Viñas. The discussion aimed to impart valuable lessons to both the children and the students, emphasizing the importance of practicing gratitude and maintaining hope despite life’s challenges.
The event titled “Kalasag at Sandigan: Lakas na Bunga ng Pasasalamat at Pag-asa,” also marked a significant learning opportunity for the psychology students, many of whom were encountering CICL for the first time. The overall experience was identified as a meaningful foundation for their approaching supervised internships (OJT).
Students managed all preparatory steps, including securing approvals, arranging speakers, organizing the program flow, and coordinating logistics.
GAPsy students noted that the program highlighted collective effort, cooperation, and shared goals, which the students noted as making the experience organized and rewarding.
