NAPOLCOM October 2025 results highlight competence of UBLC Criminology graduates

The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) recorded another academic milestone as graduates of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), Bachelor of Science in Criminology, successfully passed the October 2025 National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Examination, qualifying them for entry into the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The successful examinees are Jamaica Mae M. Pangilinan, Aljay Justin V. Tosino, Jayvee L. Osing, Bernadeth O. Saludo, Elmer Alexis J. Roxas, and Jhonna A. Ramirez, whose performance reflects the program’s commitment to quality, competency-based police education and professional preparation.

Administered by the NAPOLCOM on October 19, 2025, the nationwide examination was conducted in 38 testing centers across the Philippines and covered both the PNP Entrance Examination and the Promotional Examination. The Entrance Examination assesses communication skills, logical and quantitative reasoning, and general knowledge – core competencies required of aspiring police officers, while the Promotional Examination evaluates the professional readiness of in-service personnel seeking advancement.

Based on the official press release of the National Police Commission, 17,403 out of 44,309 examinees passed, registering an overall passing rate of 39.28 percent. Of this number, 14,438 civilian examinees qualified for the PNP Entrance Examination, while 2,965 in-service police officers passed the Promotional Examinations and became eligible for promotion. NAPOLCOM Chief Commissioner Ralph Calinisan emphasized that the examinations serve as a safeguard of integrity and professionalism, ensuring that recruitment and promotion within the police service remain merit-based, transparent, and accountable.

The achievement of UBLC Criminology graduates underscores the University’s alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by providing inclusive, relevant, and outcome-driven learning that prepares graduates for public service and nation-building.
