In line with its commitment to holistic and experiential learning, the Future Educators Union of the University of Batangas Lipa Campus (UBLC) actively participated in the Talakayan 2025 Series: “Ang Makulay na Buhay ni Rizal” held on August 30, 2025, at Batangas Lakelands. The event, organized by Batangas Lakelands, featured the esteemed broadcast journalist and documentarist Mr. Howie Severino, who shared an engaging discussion on the life, works, and lasting influence of Dr. Jose Rizal, the country’s national hero.

The session offered students an opportunity to revisit Rizal’s legacy through a modern lens, connecting historical insight with contemporary relevance. Mr. Severino’s discourse delved into Rizal’s ideals, sacrifices, and his unwavering dedication to education and nation-building – values that continue to inspire Filipinos across generations. His dynamic storytelling and thought-provoking reflections allowed participants to view Rizal not merely as a figure of the past but as a timeless symbol of courage, intellect, and compassion.
