Fourth-year BS Legal Management student Andrea C. Manalo of the University of Batangas–Lipa Campus has successfully passed the Associate Certified Practitioner in Human Resources (aCPHR®) Examination held online on October 17, 2025, officially joining the roster of certified human resource practitioners in the Philippines. Her achievement marks a significant milestone, reflecting both academic excellence and emerging professional competence in the field of human resources.
The aCPHR® credential, administered by the CPHR International Management Academy, is an internationally recognized certification designed to validate the foundational knowledge and skills of aspiring human resource professionals. It serves as an entry-level qualification for students and graduates in HR-related disciplines including Legal Management, Psychology, and Business Administration who seek to gain professional recognition early in their careers.
The aCPHR® Examination aims to strengthen the academic-to-industry transition by assessing candidates’ competencies in key areas such as recruitment, employee relations, organizational development, compensation management, and labor law compliance. It provides a benchmark for readiness in real-world HR practice and encourages ethical and strategic approaches to managing people and organizations. Successful passers are granted lifetime certification status and are authorized to use the post-nominal title “aCPHR®”, signifying their formal inclusion among certified human resource practitioners.
Manalo’s success in the October 17 online examination underscores the University of Batangas’ commitment to nurturing globally competitive students equipped with both academic proficiency and professional preparedness. Her certification adds to the growing number of UB students and graduates who have earned national and international credentials, aligning with the University’s vision of developing competent, responsible, and industry-ready professionals.
The accomplishment also highlights the increasing relevance of human resource certifications in today’s workplace landscape, where organizations value candidates with verified skills and ethical grounding. By earning the aCPHR® designation while still completing her undergraduate studies, Manalo demonstrates the potential of UB students to meet professional standards even before entering the workforce.
Her achievement brings pride to the University of Batangas Lipa Campus and serves as an inspiration to other students to pursue similar opportunities for professional growth and credentialing. It stands as a testament to the University’s holistic approach to education, one that blends academic rigor with practical, industry-aligned development.
