Her participation underscored the commitment of the CITEComm community to continuous growth, innovation, and academic excellence.

The Acer Academy Summit 2025 – an invite-only series of events dedicated to the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in education – brought together educators, policymakers, tech leaders, and institutional partners from across the Asia-Pacific region. Delegates from the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan convened to exchange insights on emerging technologies and their impact on learning.

The international leg, the Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025, was held from May 7 to 9, 2025, at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. With the theme “Shaping Tomorrow: AI and Digital Technologies in Education,” the summit emphasized the growing relevance of AI-driven tools, cloud technology, sustainability initiatives, and strategic leadership in navigating the future of teaching and learning. Global exhibitors, including Intel, Windows, Google, and Acer subsidiaries such as Aopen, SpatialLabs, and Altos, showcased cutting-edge solutions and platforms designed to advance educational ecosystems.

Complementing the regional event, the Philippines hosted its local counterpart – the Acer Academy Summit 2025: “TrustED 2025 The Future of Learning Security” – on November 13, 2025, at the Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City. This gathering highlighted the importance of content integrity, cybersecurity, and responsible digital integration in schools and universities.

In her presentation, Dr. Capuno shared how UBLC has strengthened its digital capabilities through the initiatives of its CITEComm community, highlighting strategies that have supported the university’s transition toward AI-enhanced learning environments. She discussed key programs and practices that demonstrate UBLC’s commitment to building digital literacy, promoting innovation, and sustaining quality education amid rapid technological change.

Through her participation in the Philippine summit, Dr. Capuno positioned UBLC as an active contributor to conversations shaping the future of education. The university’s representation at these forums reinforces its dedication to technological advancement, collaborative learning, and academic leadership in the digital era.

Furthermore, these initiatives exemplify UBLC’s strategic alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UNSDG 4, promoting inclusive, equitable, and quality education, and UNSDG 17, fostering strong partnerships and global cooperation to enhance innovation, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building in the educational sector.
