The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) marked a significant academic milestone as seven graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program successfully passed the October 2025 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (LECPA), according to the official results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The national examination, administered by the Board of Accountancy in 18 testing centers across the Philippines, recorded 3,460 passers out of 10,171 examinees, yielding a national passing rate of 34.02%.
UBLC posted an overall institutional passing rate of 46.67%, surpassing the national performance. Notably, the University’s first-time takers delivered a strong showing with a 57.14% passing percentage, reflecting the College of Management and Tourism’s sustained commitment to academic excellence and rigorous preparation for professional licensure examinations.
The new Certified Public Accountants from UBLC are Ryan Yvard C. Acusa, Althea Fye C. Aguilera, Amron Sebastian A. Ignacio, Alyssa Jane D. Lescano, Nelson C. Llanes, Andrea L. Matundan, and Marycris G. Ramos. Their achievement underscores the program’s continued success in producing competent and industry-ready graduates who meet the standards of the accounting profession.
The licensure examination was administered by the members of the Board of Accountancy, namely: Hon. Noe G. Quiñanola, Chairman; Hon. Samuel B. Padilla, Vice Chairman; and Members Hon. Gloria T. Baysa, Hon. Thelma S. Ciudadano, Hon. Gervacio I. Piator, and Hon. Maria Teresita Z. Dimaculangan. The LECPA, conducted in October 2025, aimed to evaluate the readiness of aspiring certified public accountants to enter the field with the required technical competence, ethical foundation, and professional discipline.
UBLC attributes this performance to its strengthened curriculum, dedicated faculty, and comprehensive review support that equip students with analytical, ethical, and practical skills aligned with industry demands.
