In observance of the Month of the Holy Rosary and in response to the call of His Holiness Pope Leo XIII to pray for peace through the Holy Rosary, the IGNIS Campus Ministry of the University of Batangas Lipa City held a solemn Rosary for Peace procession on October 27, 2025 at 8:30 AM within the university grounds. The activity marked the culmination of the month-long devotion dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The event gathered the entire UB Lipa community in prayerful solidarity – students, faculty members, and personnel united in seeking peace in their hearts, homes, nation, and the world. Amidst the uncertainties and challenges of the times, the procession served as a collective act of faith and hope, invoking God’s mercy and the intercession of the Blessed Mother for unity, compassion, and healing.
Participants were encouraged to wear white attire, symbolizing purity and peace, aligning with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’ (CBCP) nationwide call for prayers for transparency, accountability, and good governance. The sight of students and employees walking in prayer through the campus grounds underscored the university’s commitment to nurturing spiritual growth and communal harmony alongside academic excellence.
The IGNIS Campus Ministry led the initiative in collaboration with various student organizations across departments, including the College Student Government and High School Department Student Government, the Guild of Aspiring Psychologists, Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, Gens Animus Voxvocis Excellentia Liberum, Brahman Institute of Computer Engineering Students, Association of Future Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs, Junior Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers – UB Lipa Chapter, Junior Tourism, Hospitality, and Real Estate Professionals, Future Educators Union, Sigma Theta Tau – UBLC Chapter, The Young Law Enforcers, and the United Architects of the Philippine Student Auxiliary. Members of the faculty and administrative offices also joined in the meaningful procession.
Through this sacred initiative, UB Lipa reaffirmed its mission to nurture faith, peace, and moral integrity within the academic community. The Rosary for Peace procession marked the culmination of the Month of the Holy Rosary and stood as a profound testament to the university’s steadfast devotion to faith in God – an enduring source of compassion, service, and unity among its students, faculty, staff and administration.
