Malang, Indonesia – October 26, 2025. The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) College of Education, Arts, and Sciences (CEAS) proudly represented the Philippines in the 2025 FILKOM UB Academic and Cultural Exchange on Information Technology (FACE IT) held from October 26 to November 1, 2025, at Universitas Brawijaya in Malang, Indonesia. The event gathered student innovators and educators from various countries to explore and apply artificial intelligence across multiple disciplines under the theme “AI+X: Understanding and Applying Artificial Intelligence.”
Jeiel Asher Aguilon, Judy Ann Reseñada, and Ethan Gabriel Ages from the BS Legal Management program, Ysabelle Triviño and Ramona Baluno from the BS Psychology program, together with faculty members Ms. May Marcell Corneja and Ms. Krisha Marie Subing Subing, represented the CEAS delegation in the week-long international exchange program held in East Java. The program featured a blend of interactive online sessions, hands-on workshops, and on-campus immersion activities designed to foster collaboration and innovation. Participants worked closely with mentors and peers from diverse academic disciplines, engaging in joint projects that promoted cross-cultural understanding and professional growth.
Through this experience, they earned 10 ECTS credits while gaining valuable exposure to technological advancements, global perspectives, and transformative learning opportunities that broadened their academic and cultural horizons. Among 32 participating teams from universities around the world, the CEAS delegation achieved an impressive 12th place, showcasing their skill, creativity, and collaborative spirit in addressing real-world problems through AI-driven solutions. Their performance reflected their academic excellence and underscored the University’s growing presence in the global education and research landscape.
