Lipa City, Batangas – October 2, 2025. The University of Batangas Lipa City (UBLC) formally inducted its newly elected Student Government and student organization officers during the Induction Ceremony 2025 held at the UBLC Tiered Hall. The event, organized by the Student Government, highlighted the official start of collaboration between student leaders and the student body for Academic Year 2025–2026.
The ceremony provided student representatives across various organizations the opportunity to be sworn into office in a unified induction, reinforcing the Student Government’s commitment to serve with the students and for the students.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Milette L. De Torres, Student Affairs and External Programs Officer, emphasized the essence of true leadership as service, integrity, and responsibility. She encouraged the new officers to lead with humility and collaboration, quoting Nelson Mandela: “Lead from the back and let others believe that they are in front.” Ms. De Torres concluded by affirming the university’s continued support through SAEP, expressing hope that the officers’ term would be filled with meaningful accomplishments and inspiring service.
Delivering the inspirational message, Mr. Noelito Sales, UBLC Student Government Adviser, shared his personal journey as a former student leader. Drawing from his leadership experiences, he underscored the importance of commitment, accountability, and balance between academics and responsibilities. “No one is born to be a leader,” Mr. Sales noted. “You have to be trained, committed, and dedicated to your goals… all you do in the rest of the academic year is for the benefit of UBLC.” He reminded the officers to remain responsible and to inspire their peers throughout their term.
Also in attendance was Mr. Arjay Gonzales, co-adviser of the Student Government, who extended his support to the student leaders. The program featured the introduction of the newly elected officers from both academic and non-academic organizations, the oath-taking ceremony, and the pinning of officers as they received their leadership pins. The event concluded with the closing remarks of Ms. Marjorie Caringal, followed by a photo opportunity and fellowship.
The Induction Ceremony served as a formal recognition of student leaders and a reminder of their crucial role in shaping student life. By taking their oath, the officers pledged to uphold the values of the university and represent their peers with dedication, marking the beginning of another academic year of active student governance at UBLC.
