In June 1994, the College of Nursing was born from the visionary idea of the University’s Board of Trustees, formerly known as Western Philippine Colleges. The college’s mission was clear: to provide accessible and high-quality nursing education to individuals from diverse backgrounds, all sharing the aspiration of acquiring the knowledge needed to deliver healthcare services to individuals, families, and communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Affiliated with St. Patrick\u2019s Hospital Medical Center as its primary teaching hospital and other district, provincial, and regional healthcare institutions, we offer comprehensive training opportunities that encompass primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of care.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our journey began with the government’s permission to offer introductory courses for both the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum. Following rigorous standards and dedication, we were granted the license to provide first-year courses for BSN and two-year graduate studies in Midwifery (GM).<\/span><\/p>\n

Our pioneering batch included thirteen BSN students and nine GM students, led by Ms. Bernadette B. Reyes as Dean and Mrs. Rufina M. Dimalibot as Head of Midwifery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, we have expanded our offerings to include TESDA programs, adhering to training regulations, such as Health Care Services and Caregiving programs under the Nursing Department.<\/span><\/p>\n
