Excellence in numbers and intellect \u2013 the University of Batangas (UB) Junior High School (JHS) proudly showcased its mathematical prowess in the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) 2025\u20132026 Heat Round, held online on October 19, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Math Olympiads Training League Incorporated (MOTLI) organized the competition, bringing together some of the country\u2019s most promising young mathematicians and providing a platform that challenged their analytical and critical thinking abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emerging triumphant among the participants were UB JHS students who brought home multiple awards across different categories. Keziah Abigail Adora (Grade 10 \u2013 Catapang) from the Senior Secondary Group Category and Derick Rein E. Macalinao (Grade 7 \u2013 Copernicus) from the Secondary 1 Category both secured Gold Awards. Their achievement highlighted exceptional problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earning Silver Awards were Shiekha Ayesha J. Cago (Grade 10 \u2013 Archimedes) and Matthew Andrei B. Macatangay (Grade 10 \u2013 Archimedes) under the Senior Secondary Group Category, Shawqi Yousef A. Evangelista (Grade 9 \u2013 Avogadro) under the Secondary 3 Category, and Zuriel Reyn B. Cruzat (Grade 8 \u2013 Aristotle) under the Secondary 2 Category. Their success reflected their dedication and strong preparation for the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Reizo Mikael L. Adorable (Grade 9 \u2013 Avogadro), Kaileen May L. Medina (Grade 9 \u2013 Avogadro), and Arielle P. Subol (Grade 8 \u2013 Aristotle) proudly garnered Bronze Awards under their respective categories, showcasing persistence and determination in their mathematical pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adding to the list of commendable performances, Cricza Anne C. Yuri Barlao (Grade 10 \u2013 Franklin) from the Senior Secondary Group Category, Ghyzell Anne Joy G. Gomez (Grade 8 \u2013 Fleming), and Donna Alexa I. Alolod (Grade 8 \u2013 Aristotle) from the Secondary 2 Category each received Merit Awards, marking their strong potential and consistent effort throughout the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe whole Mathematics Department showed their support to their students,\u201d said Mathematics Department Head Dr. Famela Q. Barairo. \u201cDuring the competition, all of us were on standby to provide technical support to our participants. Although we encountered minor difficulties, we persevered.\u201d
