The testimonial highlighted their resilience and their ability to find hope amid adversity.
“CPA na ‘ko” echoed in the room as the testimonies shared their stories.
Board of Regents Chairman Atty. Jesus V. Mayo also recalled how their late father, Atty. Vicente A. Mayo, felt accomplished when his children earned their titles as attorneys.
Meanwhile, University President Ms. Lily Marlene J. Hernandez-Bohn expressed confidence in the future of the new CPAs and emphasized UB’s core value of the love of wisdom.
“We are a school, but we all know it is not just about formal education; it is not just about all these formal exams—you should continuously try to learn more and more,” said University President Hernandez-Bohn. She added, “Why do you do all these? For service to your fellowmen.”
CBAHM Dean Erwin Lumanglas, UB JPIA Adviser Ms. Kim Nicole Reyes, MBM, CPA, CTT, SMRIAcc, BSA Program Head Clieford Perez, MBM, CPA, and Mr. Noelito Sales, CPA, SMRIAcc, also attended the testimonial luncheon.
