UB Grade Schoolers excel in Hong Kong International Science Olympiad Heat Round

An outstanding roster of 26 achievers from the University of Batangas (UB) peaked at the Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO) Heat Round held on November 9, 2025.

UB celebrates its Gold Medalists who delivered top-tier performances in their respective categories. The gold achievers include Queen Elizabeth Tumaliuan (Grade 2 – Patience), Yani Cueto (Grade 2 – Integrity), Rafael Joseph A. Solis (Grade 3 – Thomson), Alisha Sofia S. Panopio (Grade 3 – Newton), Roven Caian V. De La Roca (Grade 3 – Newton), Simon James Jude E. Gutierrez (Grade 4 – Amorsolo), Nethaniah Eanelle Cantos (Grade 4 – Amorsolo), Zhaira Margaret V. Manalo (Grade 5 – Magsaysay), Rhudolf Theorem N. Bautista (Grade 5 – Aguinaldo), Zach Andrei L. Melo (Grade 5 – Garcia), Nigella M. Roldan (Grade 6 – Roldan), Kyle Luigi F. Aloria (Grade 6 – Roldan), Mikayla Moreighn M. Alda (Grade 6 – Roldan), and Daphne Michaela M. Despuez (Grade 6 – Whang Od). Their achievements reflect UB’s commitment to fostering scientific curiosity and academic excellence at the elementary level.

UB further recognizes its Silver Medalists, who demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving competencies during the competition. The silver awardees are Caidan Drael Villanueva (Grade 2 – Integrity), Ayrian Caith M. Arcega (Grade 3 – Thomson), Vince Joshua V. Medrano (Grade 3 – Newton), Redd Alfonso Miguel S. Abdon (Grade 4 – Amorsolo), Kristoff Francis G. Masangcay (Grade 5 – Magsaysay), and Netania Maryse M. Matira (Grade 5 – Aguinaldo). Their performance strengthens UB’s reputation as an institution that nurtures academic talent through disciplined training and competitive exposure.

The university also commends its Bronze Medalists for their commendable performance in the heat round. The bronze recipients include Ella Jois F. Pelaez (Grade 3 – Thomson), Harris B. Quilenderino (Grade 4 – Amorsolo), Amber Thea Janella Z. Espino (Grade 5 – Magsaysay), Brianna Lavinia Jane G. Angulo (Grade 5 – Garcia), and Jillian A. Ramos (Grade 6 – Palma). Their efforts showcase UB students’ dedication to continuous improvement and intellectual resilience.

Completing UB’s list of achievers, Celestine Adaline G. Cueto (Grade 5 – Garcia) earned a Merit Award for her promising performance. UB proudly recognizes her potential and encourages her continued pursuit of scientific growth.
