Bejeweled triumphants – the University of Batangas (UB) Grade School and Senior High School (SHS) students showcased academic excellence at the Philippine International Math & Science Olympics (PIMSO), earning multiple awards during the national round held online on September 21, 2025.

From the Grade School Department, Yani V. Cueto from Grade 2 – Integrity captured gold medals in both Mathematics and Science categories, while Rafael Joseph A. Solis of Grade 3 – Thomson achieved a gold award in the Science category.

Cueto’s coach, Tr. Mary Rose J. Guinhawa, consistently reminds her to stay humble despite her victories.

“I always keep her grounded with discipline, teamwork, and a love for learning,” said Tr. Guinhawa.

Representing the Senior High School (SHS) Department, Lady Jillian R. Chavez of Grade 11 – Braun earned a gold award in Science and a silver award in Mathematics.

After competing in PIMSO, Chavez shared how she entrusted her results to prayer – and her faith was rewarded.

“After the event, I just felt genuinely thankful. I remembered how I prayed for it, and it felt like those prayers were answered,” shared Chavez.

These achievements at PIMSO mark another chapter for UB Dream Schoolers. Adding to the list of accolades, Cueto ranked 6th in the PolyMatch Global IQ and Logic Competition, while Solis secured a bronze award in the Angkor Mathematics Competition National Round 2025 (Primary 3 to 4).
