In its continuous pursuit of academic excellence, the University of Batangas (UB) College of Industrial Technology (CIT) welcomed the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for the evaluation of its new program offerings – Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Instrumentation and Control Technology and Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Electrical Technology on October 21, 2025 at the CAB Room, Juan Y. Javier Hall (Building C).
Representing the CIT Department were Mr. Japhet G. Bagsit and Engr. Maiah Krisha Macatangay. Joining them were Engr. Cirilo Bathan Jr., Education Supervisor for Engineering, Architecture, and Industrial Technology, and Dr. Glen Caraig, CHED RQAT Accreditor for Industrial Technology.
The RQAT visitation also included a tour of the CIT classrooms and laboratories, ensuring that the university’s facilities and learning environments meet the standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
The visit underscores UB’s commitment to upholding its mission and vision of providing quality education and maintaining institutional integrity and excellence through CHED-approved programs with valid and updated government permits. The evaluation marks a significant step toward the official recognition of CIT’s new programs — a milestone that ensures UB continues to produce technically skilled graduates who meet industry standards and global demands.
Through this initiative, the University of Batangas reaffirms its dedication to delivering relevant, industry-driven, and globally competitive programs, fostering excellence that empowers both learners and the communities they serve.
