The University of Batangas (UB) College of Business, Accountancy, and Hospitality Management (CBAHM) conducted a two-day, one-night educational tour on October 28–29, 2025, providing Hospitality Management students with valuable real-world exposure to the tourism and hospitality industry.

The tour included visits to MIHCA (Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts), Conrad Hotel Manila, and Intramuros Heritage Sites, aiming to bridge classroom learning with hands-on experiences. Students observed professional hotel operations, attended industry lectures, and explored cultural landmarks, strengthening their understanding of hospitality service, cultural appreciation, teamwork, and professionalism.

Supervised by CBAHM faculty members, the activity aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The itinerary combined academic enrichment with cultural engagement, ensuring a holistic learning experience.

The journey began early on October 28, as students departed from UB with anticipation. Their first stop was Manila, where they explored Luneta Park, Intramuros, Fort Santiago, and Manila Cathedral, deepening their appreciation of Philippine history and heritage.

Next, students visited MIHCA, where industry experts delivered seminars on culinary arts and hospitality operations, emphasizing professionalism, quality service, and passion for the field. Following lunch, the group proceeded to Conrad Hotel Manila, attending a seminar on Front Office and Housekeeping Operations, gaining firsthand insights into luxury hotel management and guest relations.

The evening featured a Dinner and Socialization Night, fostering camaraderie among students across sections through music, conversation, and bonding activities.

On October 29, students experienced world-class service during a buffet breakfast at Conrad Hotel and enjoyed the hotel’s amenities before checking out. The tour concluded with a stop at SM Mall of Asia for lunch and light leisure, followed by short stops at S&R and SLEX, returning to Batangas at 9:00 p.m.

The educational tour successfully enhanced students’ academic knowledge, teamwork, and social skills, while inspiring them to pursue excellence in their future careers. For future tours, the department recommends longer stays at heritage sites for cultural immersion, more Q&A sessions with hotel professionals, and additional interactive bonding activities during social events to maximize student engagement.

This experience demonstrated that true education extends beyond the classroom, blending learning, exploration, and meaningful connections that prepare students to grow as both professionals and individuals.
