The University of Batangas (UB) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) marked another international milestone as its students garnered top honors during the 21st Session of the International Model United Nations (IMUN) on November 12–14, 2025, in Pasig City.
Avi Breindelle Ibon, a 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Legal Management student, received a Verbal Commendation for her performance in the UN Women committee after delivering well-researched and persuasive interventions. Hanna Suzanne Magadia, also a 3rd Year BS Legal Management student, earned an Honorable Mention for demonstrating strong policy analysis and diplomatic engagement in the same committee.
Mark Joshua Noche, a 4th Year Bachelor of Arts in Political Science student, led UB’s delegation with distinction and captured the Best Delegate award in UN Women, showcasing advanced negotiation skills, substantive knowledge, and effective leadership throughout the sessions.
The students actively engaged in high-level debates that addressed gender equality, women’s rights, and inclusive development, reflecting UB’s emphasis on global citizenship and academic excellence. Their achievements advanced United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5: Gender Equality by amplifying youth participation in international dialogue and strengthening advocacy for women’s empowerment through informed policy discussion.
