Two UB CEDU students bag Best Abstract and Best Oral Research Presenter awards at the 5th Asian Conference on Educational Development (ACED)

On August 18, 2025, Genesis R. Ebron and Norlane Jen M. Punzalan from the University of Batangas (UB) College of Education (CEDU) earned the Best Abstract and Best Oral Research Presenter, respectively, at the 5th Asian Conference on Educational Development (ACED).

Ms. Ebron, a Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNED) student, received the Best Abstract award for her research titled The Teacher-Parent Collaboration on the Success of Individualized Education Plan for Students with Special Needs: Teachers’ Perspective. Dr. Angela C. Napa guided her throughout the conference.

Meanwhile, Ms. Punzalan, a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English (BSED-ENG) student, won Best Oral Research Presenter for her study titled #FINDINGDAHL: Proposed Game-Based Learning Material Using Roald Dahl’s Books. Mrs. Felicitas Cortez mentored her during the research process.

Heinrich Arnold L. Africa, a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), also actively participated in the online conference.

The conference, themed Transforming Education through Innovation, Inclusion, and Collaboration, aimed to bring the young educators together through innovative, inclusive, and collaborative practices.
