The University of Batangas (UB) proudly announces its successful completion of the First Surveillance Audit for the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organization Management System (EOMS), conducted by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines on December 1, 2025, both in the Batangas City and Lipa City campuses.

A surveillance audit is designed to verify that an institution consistently upholds the standards of its certified educational management system and continues to meet all requirements in between full recertification audits. This process ensures that the university remains aligned with global best practices in delivering quality education and services.

The SOCOTEC auditing team – composed of Dr. Catherine Sigua, Mr. Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel, and Ms. Grace Reyes – commended the university for its strong compliance. UB achieved this significant milestone with zero non-conformances, resulting in a formal recommendation for the continued maintenance of its certification.

This milestone is the result of the collaborative efforts of the university administrators, chief of offices, college deans, faculty and employees through the guidance of the Institutional Quality Assurance Office (IQAO).

This achievement reflects UB’s unwavering commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and maintaining an effective management system that supports the institution’s mission and service to its stakeholders.

By successfully maintaining its ISO 21001:2018 certification, UB strengthens its commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. The university continues to enhance its institutional systems to ensure accessible, equitable, and high-quality learning environments for all students.
