Fourth-year students from the Organization of Psychology Students (OPS) at the University of Batangas (UB) College of Arts and Sciences conducted an outreach activity titled “Empowering Young Minds: Interactive Learning Program for Children” at Barangay Tinga, Labac, on December 1, 2023.
The initiative aimed to provide a dynamic and engaging tutorial program to help local children develop essential cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Through carefully designed activities, the psychology students combined creativity, physical engagement, and social interaction to strengthen the children’s interpersonal skills and knowledge.
The program offered an enriching experience that supported the children’s overall development while promoting learning through play. At the conclusion of the outreach, the student organizers generously distributed materials used during the activities, including crayons and pencils, encouraging the children to continue their learning journey at home.
This student-led initiative exemplifies UB’s commitment to community engagement, education, and holistic development, fostering both the growth of children and the professional experience of future psychologists.
