The University of Batangas (UB) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), through its Political Science Department, conducted a Voter Education Seminar in preparation for the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
The seminar was open to all college students eligible to vote, aiming to strengthen political awareness and promote responsible participation in the local polls.
According to the department, the initiative sought to address gaps in students’ understanding of the voting process, roles of barangay and youth councils, and the value of civic engagement. The discussion emphasized that informed voters play a crucial role in ensuring transparent and accountable local governance.
Through this activity, the University of Batangas reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing informed, empowered, and socially responsible citizens who actively contribute to the democratic process.
