The University of Batangas (UB) Political Science Circle (PSC) held the Leadership Development Assembly: Development Talk in 2022, providing students with a unique opportunity to engage with young yet experienced political leaders. The event, hosted on the university campus, aimed to foster leadership excellence and political awareness among Political Science students.

The assembly enabled students to move beyond classroom theory by learning directly from practitioners who have navigated real-world political challenges. Through discussions and interactive exchanges, participants gained insights into leadership, governance, and civic responsibility, understanding that effective leadership relies not only on knowledge but also on empathy, experience, and service.

Organized by the PSC, the event encouraged students to reflect on purposeful leadership. Speakers highlighted the importance of commitment to principles and community, inspiring attendees to act with integrity, passion, and accountability in their future endeavors.

By offering authentic perspectives from active leaders, the Leadership Development Assembly strengthened students’ readiness to engage in political discourse and decision-making. The activity reinforced UB’s mission to cultivate informed, ethical, and socially responsible individuals prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
