UB Brahmans swimmers clinch Overall Second Place in Milo National Interschool Swimming Championship 2025

The University of Batangas (UB) Brahmans swimmer team secured Overall Second Place in Division 2 at the Milo National Interschool Short Course Swimming Championship 2025, held on December 13–14, 2025, at National University Calamba.

UB swimmers delivered strong performances across multiple events, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals against top interschool competitors nationwide. Their results highlighted the team’s discipline, endurance, and competitive excellence.

Karyn Mikaela U. Fortu led the medal haul with a gold medal in the 50m Breaststroke (B), a silver medal in the 50m Butterfly (A), and bronze medals in the 100m Freestyle (A) and 50m Freestyle (A).

Marianne A. Lopez dominated the women’s events, winning gold medals in the 50m Butterfly (A), Backstroke (A), Breaststroke (A), and Freestyle (A). She also earned silver medals in the 100m Freestyle (A) and 4x50m Medley Relay, and a bronze medal in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay.

Dominic Santie Adventure G. Solares captured gold medals in the 50m Backstroke (B) and 50m Breaststroke (B), and added a silver medal in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay (A). Filip Murcielago Adventure G. Solares won gold in the 50m Backstroke (A), silver medals in the 50m Butterfly (A), Breaststroke (A), 100m Freestyle (A), 4x50m Medley Relay (A), Freestyle Relay (A), and Coach’s Freestyle Relay (A), and a bronze medal in the 50m Freestyle (A).

Lavrigne Ashley M. Marquez contributed a silver medal in the 4x50m Medley and a bronze medal in the 4x50m Freestyle Medley. Maria Ysabelle Kassandra E. Acosta earned a silver medal in the 4x50m Medley Relay (A) and bronze medals in the 50m Butterfly (B), Backstroke (B), Breaststroke (A), and 4x50m Freestyle Relay. Nina Sofia Temple B. Agustin secured a silver medal in the 4x50m Medley Relay (A) and bronze medals in the 50m Butterfly (A), Backstroke (A), Freestyle (A), Breaststroke (B), 100m Freestyle (A), and 4x50m Freestyle Relay (A).

Lyron Daniel Soriano won silver medals in the 4x50m Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay, and bronze medals in the 50m Backstroke and Breaststroke. Enzo Miguel Macatbag earned silver medals in the 4x50m Medley Relay, Freestyle Relay, 50m Butterfly, and 100m Freestyle, and a bronze medal in the 50m Backstroke. Pablo Dimaandal added silver medals in the 4x50m Medley Relay, Freestyle Relay, and 50m Backstroke. Angelica S. Maristela completed the medal tally with a bronze medal in the 50m Freestyle (B).

UB’s strong finish reflects its sustained commitment to student-athlete development through structured training and competitive exposure. The achievement aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by promoting physical fitness and active lifestyles, and Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by supporting holistic education through sports excellence.

Through this victory, the University of Batangas continues to strengthen its presence in national interschool competitions while fostering discipline, resilience, and excellence among its student-athletes.
