The University of Batangas (UB) Brahmans Football Team asserted its dominance in the Aboitiz Football Cup Season 25 – Men’s 23-and-Under Division on December 7, 2025, at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, after sweeping the tournament’s major individual awards.
Jomary Mendoza powered the Brahmans’ campaign and earned the Division Most Valuable Player (MVP) honor through consistent scoring, decisive playmaking, and leadership on the pitch. Keon Arca anchored UB’s defensive line and secured the Best Keeper award by delivering crucial saves and maintaining composure under pressure throughout the competition.
UB capped its championship run behind the commanding performance of Zander Teves, who claimed the Finals MVP distinction after leading the Brahmans in the title match and dictating the tempo during the decisive moments of play.
The Brahmans’ success reflected disciplined preparation, teamwork, and tactical execution, reinforcing UB’s growing presence in competitive football. The team’s achievement also advanced the university’s thrust in attaining United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, as it promoted active lifestyles, athletic excellence, and positive youth engagement through organized sports.
