The University of Batangas (UB) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) gathered student leaders, faculty members, and administrators for the CAS Student Organization Leadership Conference themed Collaborate, Achieve, Succeed: Unlocking the Potential of Team Synergy on November 25, 2023 at Patio Cafe.
The conference featured Mr. Aiken Magpulhin, a distinguished CAS alumnus, who served as the keynote speaker. He shared meaningful insights and personal experiences on leadership and professional growth, emphasizing that success thrives on teamwork and a shared vision. His talk inspired participants to lead with empathy, creativity, and accountability in their respective organizations.
Adding a technical and creative dimension to the program, Mr. Norvine M. Quinag from the Corporate Communications Office and part-time instructor in the Multimedia Communications Department, conducted an interactive session on Social Media Marketing, UB Brand Rules, and Technical Writing. His discussion equipped student leaders with the tools needed to strengthen their communication strategies and uphold institutional identity in the digital space.
The presence of CAS department heads and faculty members further enriched the discussions. Their participation underscored the importance of collaboration between students and educators in fostering effective leadership and organizational growth. Under the guidance of Dr. Priscilla Mizpah P. Santillana, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and in partnership with the UB Student Government – CAS, the event encouraged dialogue, learning, and camaraderie among student leaders.
The CAS Student Organization Leadership Conference embodied the essence of SDG 4: Quality Education, particularly by promoting lifelong learning, leadership development, and collaborative excellence. Through this initiative, the University of Batangas empowered student leaders to apply their knowledge beyond the classroom, nurture teamwork within their organizations, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. The event reaffirmed UB’s commitment to cultivating well-rounded individuals ready to lead with integrity, purpose, and unity.
