The Batangas City Alay Lakad Foundation, Inc. celebrated the 51st Anniversary of Alay Lakad with the search for Mutya ng Alay Lakad, themed Hakbang para sa Gintong Kinabukasan ng Kabataan sa Lungsod ng Batangas, on September 12, 2025, starting from Plaza Mabini, Batangas City to Batangas City Sports Center – Coliseum.

Ms. Mary Margareth D. Sandoval, a Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) student from the University of Batangas Senior High School, was crowned as the new Mutya ng Alay Lakad 2025.

Despite the limited preparation time, External Programs Coordinator Mr. Johnrey Banlasan, UB’s overall coordinator for the event, together with Cultural Coordinator and Mutya Consultant Mr. Neil Daryl Bagsic ensured quality performance–leading UB to win the title for the third consecutive year. This year, among the 11 participating organizations, Ms. Sandoval stood out from the road to the coliseum.

Alongside this victory, UB also earned a Certificate of Appreciation from the Batangas City Alay Lakad Foundation, Inc. for its impactful contribution last year to the Batangueño scholars, coming as third out of ten contributors. The award was accepted by Mr. Alex A. Ramos, Senior Vice President for Administration.

For over five decades, the Batangas City Alay Lakad Foundation has emphasized its mission of supporting out-of-school youth through moral, technical, and financial assistance, enabling them to initiate projects for personal growth and contribute to the progress of their families and communities.
